  Ashley Biden is the daughter of President Joe Biden and his wife Jill.


  Who is Ashley Biden?


  Ashley Biden is the only biological child with Joe Biden's youngest daughter and his second wife, Jill Biden.  He is survived by a brother, Hunter and two hidden siblings, Amy and Beau.  After graduating from the University of Dullen and the University of Pennsylvania, he began a career in social work, through which he developed an interest in social justice issues, i.e. income inequality.  In 2017, her commitment to the cause translates to creating a fashion brand called Livelihood, which funds various charitable endeavors.  She has been married to surgeon Howard Kerin since 2010. She also supported her father's 2020 presidential campaign and introduced the then candidate at the 2020 Democratic National Convention along with Hunter.


  Early life and education


  Ashley Blazer Biden was born on June 8, 1981 in Delaware.  She is Joe's second daughter and Jill's only biological child.  His half-sister Naomi "Amy" Biden was killed in a 1972 car crash that killed Joe's first wife, Nilia.  Ashley has two older brothers, Hunter Biden and Joseph "Beau" Biden III, who died in 2015 of brain cancer.


  He attended the Wilmington Friends School, a Quaker company in Wilmington, Delaware, and later graduated from Archimer Academy, a private Catholic school in Clevemont, Delaware, and his father's alma mater.  Ashley holds a bachelor's degree in cultural anthropology from the University of Dulen, New Orleans, and a master's degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Training.



  Social work life


  After graduating, Ashley worked as part of their medical support staff at the Ashley Philadelphia Northwestern Human Services Children's Reach Clinic, helping young people and their families access social resources.  About four years later, he worked as an education and employment specialist at a home in the West End neighborhood, where he spent a year helping young people out of foster care.  Finally, he worked as an employment education spokesman for the state of Pennsylvania


  In 2014, after two years with Ashley, he was promoted to executive director of the Delaware Center for Justice, focusing on criminal justice reform.  He stepped down from that role in March 2019, ahead of his father’s 2020 presidential election.


  Fashion line and activism


  In 2017, while working at Delaware for Justice, Ashley co-founded Livelihood, a charity fashion brand, which partnered with the flash-selling e-commerce platform Guild to design and sell US-made clothing designed to promote criminal justice, reform and childhood education.  And improving economic inequality.  The brand’s logo, featuring a bow, pays homage to his late brother Beau.


  In February 2017, Elle announced that "the range of supersoft organic cotton hoodies" will be on sale for a few weeks.  The Guild has sold all 3,400 hoodies made from his design, and the company has donated $ 25,000 to the Delaware Community Foundation for a living fund.


  In June 2019, Ashley partnered with the Hamilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., to redesign and rename the hotel to redesign the uniforms of their staff.  In return, Hamilton donated $ 15,000 to Hotel Livelihood.


  As of November 2020, the brand is currently being re-launched, said Mary Clary.


  Husband and personal life


  Ashley's late brother Beau introduced her to plastic surgeon Howard Gerin in 2010, and the couple married on June 2, 2012 at Brandywine Roman Catholic Church in Greenville, St. Joseph's.


  After her father announced she would run for president in 2020, Ashley attacked the campaign trail to promote voter support, speaking at the Wisconsin Woman for Biden event in August.  He and his brother Hunter introduced their father at the Virtual August 2020 Democratic National Conference.  “He is tough, caring, principled,” he said in his speech.  "He's the worst enemy any bully has ever seen."
